David Capshaw is a major character in the second season of The Look-See. A young man whose family was forced to return to their farmhouse after declaring bankruptcy in the Great Depression, David's family was picked off by The Look-See. David was the last one alive, but failed to release his guilt over his brother's death and was killed. He was the eldest son of James and Mary Capshaw, and the older brother of Theodore and Leah Capshaw.
He is portrayed by Johnny Berchtold.

Background[]
David was the firstborn son of James and Mary Capshaw. An unknown amount of time before the second season, his younger brother Theodore passed away.
Some time later, Leah's father and uncle, James and Robert respectively, opened up a new bank. Though the brothers and their families climbed into a lap of luxury, the Great Depression hit and the bank quickly went out of business.

Season 2[]
The Second Home[]
David is shown with his family going to their old farmhouse. He carries Leah on his back for a bit before setting her down. At dinnertime, David's father hears something out in the barn. David tries to go with him, but his father stops him and goes alone.[1]
The Second Love[]
David hears a commotion out in the barn and goes to find his father, leaving his mother and sister alone in the farmhouse.[2]
The Second Hands[]
David hears his mother scream and runs back to the house, only to find his mother completely alright. However, it is not his mother, but The Look-See in disguise, and the monster pursues him throughout the house. David locks himself in the bedroom and is presented with a teddy bear that used to belong to his deceased brother, Theodore. David does what he has to do and he rips off the teddy's head and throws it on the ground, only for The Look-See to climb out from under the bed and snap his neck all the way around.[3]

David was Theodore's older brother. The circumstances of David's death implies that Theodore's death may have been his fault, as he was not paying attention to him.

Trivia[]
- Johnny Berchtold, who portrays David, is also the body double for David's cousin, Simon.
- David is the second victim of The Look-See to die with his head turned 180 degrees -- the first being Jonathan, who was responsible for his daughter's drowning by not paying attention to her.
