Ritual Page[]

Ritual page

The page describes a ritual that will turn someone into a monster. The page shows an illustration of five dead bodies laying in a star shape with the one facing the reader bearing a stabwound on their chest. A girl with hair covering her face sits in the middle of the circle holding a bloodied knife above her head. Above the circle are illustrations of Aponi, The Mordeo, and The Look-See reaching out to the circle.

The top of the page reads, with the bullet-pointed requirements for the ritual:

"A girl of seventeen with violence etched into her soul...

...At the moment of her greatest weakness..."

  • Black hair
  • Red eyes

More bullet points on the bottom of the page read:

  • A blood sacrifice of four victims
  • The fifth will become something greater than a man

The Look-See's Pages[]

The Look-See's page features a text written in some sort of symbols or code and has a picture of a clock on it, with the Latin phrase "tempus edax rerum". On the other page there are five different illustrations:

  • The Look-See's gloved hand.
  • The Look-See's mouth.
  • A man tearing of his skin to reveal skin similar to that of The Look-See.
  • A pocket-watch.
  • A clawed hand with a blue glove similar to that in "The Second Hands".

  • The Latin phrase "tempus edax rerum", which is visible on the page describing The Look-See, translates to "devouring time".
