The Thing in the Apartment, also referred to as "The Thing", is the titular antagonist of the 2017 short horror film The Thing in the Apartment and its sequel. It is a humanoid monster that lurks in the shadows of apartment homes consuming the flesh of its victims.
It is portrayed by Ryan Allan Young.
Physical Appearance[]
The Thing is a tall, thin creature with ghostly-pale skin and long, spindly arms and legs. Its fingers are long and thin, and its bloodshot eyes are sunken into its skeletal face. Its teeth are exposed outside of where its mouth would've been, and both sides of its cheeks are slit reminiscent of a ghastly smile, exposing nearly-blackened muscles underneath.
Characteristics[]
The Thing appears more feral than anything else, only ever killing in its shorts and not every demonstrating any dominant personality traits. It does appear to take a sadistic glee in stalking its victims.

The Thing in the Apartment[]
One night, a woman named Lindsay feels that she is being watched in her apartment. Curled up in her room, she believes she sees something in front of her and turns on her phone flashlight, only to be terrified by the appearance of The Thing. Lindsay's friend Sam, who Lindsay called in her distress, arrives at the apartment and does not believe Lindsay is being pursued by The Thing and decides to check out Lindsay's apartment while Sam waits in the car. Lindsay screams Sam's name when she sees the creature hunting Sam who gets attacked and eaten. Lindsay tries to run away, but The Thing manages to pursue her and kill her in the car. [1]
The Thing in the Apartment II[]
After killing Lindsay in her car, The Thing moves to Leah and Sean's apartment. Leah, who has been having strange dreams about The Thing watching her, is already on edge, and Sean is trying to help calm her down. Sean hears something outside and looks out the window to investigate, and he sees a group of people taking Lindsay's dead body out of the car. While he is distracted, The Thing comes up behind Leah and rips her throat out, killing her. Sean tries to get away and knocks over a lamp in the process, providing enough darkness for The Thing to come and kill him.[2]
According to a Facebook post made by Crypt TV, The Thing was captured by the men outside and taken to Monster Brawl.
